This gorgeous hand made and hand decorated art pottery vase was produced by the world renowned and highly collected Moorcroft factory in Stoke on Trent, England.It was designed by Nicola Slaney who took her inspiration from the May Queen panel in Miss Cranston's Tea Rooms in Glasgow, which was designed by Margaret MacDonald Mackintosh, wife of Charles Rennie Mackintosh.
It is a prestige piece which is only made to order by Moorcroft and comes on the magnificent 101/18 shape. This particular example is a pre-release design trial.It would represent an excellent investment or of course this fantastic item would give you years of pleasure if bought purely as an indulgence.If purchased as a firsts quality piece from Moorcroft it had an RRP of of £3515.
This particular vase is a seconds with a red dot to the base but is considered to be in excellent condition with no chips, or restoration. There are one or two minor flaws on the body of the vase but these are not immediately obvious and the vase still displays superbly. They are reflected in the heavily reduced asking price but should be considered prior to you making your purchase.
