This gorgeous hand made and hand decorated art pottery lamp base was produced by the world renowned and highly collected Moorcroft factory in Stoke on Trent, England.
It was designed by Emma Bossons and it originally formed part of a special range for an event at 78 Derngate the Rennie Mackintosh designed Arts and Crafts house. The vase takes inspiration form Kingsborough Gardens in Glasgow which were commissioned by James Rowat to be designed by Rennie Mackintosh. It shows the classics Arts and Crafts/Art Nouveau roses so typical of his work at the time.
The design appears now on a lamp range which suits the design perfectly and to striking effect. It also comes with the recommended G46 shade which is brand new and in its original film.
The lamp comes with a moulded plug to comply with current legislation and is in full working order.
Moorcroft's recommended retail price of the lamp and shade is currently £675.00.
The lamp is first quality and in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, crazing or restoration.
